Sarah Jones
Kids Instructor | Jones Family Jiu-Jitsu Geelong
Sarah began her Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2017, initially stepping onto the mats because her husband and daughter were training. Looking for a way to get fit, learn a new skill and be part of something with her family, Sarah quickly discovered that BJJ would become so much more than that.
Her journey hasn’t always been easy. Sarah has faced numerous injuries and setbacks along the way, including recurring dislocated ribs, dislocated shoulders, an eight-month break from training following a serious ankle injury, and the birth of her second daughter. Through every setback, her love for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu continued to bring her back to the mats.
Over time, Sarah discovered where her true passion lies — teaching children.
Sarah loves helping young students grow both on and off the mats. She has seen firsthand how BJJ can help children who struggle with confidence, self-esteem, anxiety or bullying. Her goal is to create a supportive environment where every child feels valued, capable and proud of their progress.
For Sarah, teaching BJJ is about far more than learning techniques. It’s about helping children discover their own strength, build resilience and believe in themselves — one class at a time
